ZnSe (Zinc Selenide)

CVD ZnSe is the material of choice for optical components in high-power CO2 lasers, owing to its wide transmission band (extending from the visible to the far-infrared, ~0.5–15μm ) and exceptionally low absorption at the CO2laser wavelength of 10.6μm.
