Ge (Germanium )

Germanium (Ge) has a transmission range of 2–12 μm. It is the most commonly used material for fabricating optical lenses and windows in high-performance infrared imaging systems.With its broad transmission band and opacity to visible light, germanium is well suited for infrared lasers and infrared optical components.Its high refractive index and low dispersion often reduce or eliminate the need for chromatic aberration correction, making it ideal for compact infrared imaging systems.Prism, lens, window and other optical components can be customized according to customers’ specifications and drawings.
